Yale Lock Highlights-3D Product visualization

This 3D product visualization video created by Trinity Animation, demonstrates how to assemble a product for one of their clients, the Yale Door Lock. Every image here is completely synthetic — 3D modeled and rendered by Trinity’s artists on computers. Some call it virtual photography, Trinity Animation calls it art. Trinity Animation is dedicated to producing the best visuals for clients with virtually any project.

This is a 3D rendered shot from Trinity's 3D product visualization video demonstrating the installation process of the Yale Door Lock. This particular still shot demonstrates how to attach the cable which is attached to the door latch to the interior of the lock. Trinity artists produce accurate 3D models with realistic textures to replicate of every detailed piece of the Yale Lock.

This step by step demonstration of the Yale lock assembly provides realistically rendered 3D models. Realistic textures of each material are simulated by Trinity animators. The camera movements are strategically maneuvered to efficiently communicate the instructions in an informing and engaging way. Each object is manipulated through open space without the distractions that live footage would include such as human hands holding the objects. The background is a simple solid light grey – also omitting any extra distractions. Text is occasionally added into the animation to clarify each step to the viewer.

This is a close-up shot demonstrating the insertion of the interior lock into the door latch- producing strategic camera angles that communicate the instructions in an easily understood way. Realistic textures are displayed of the different materials in this shot such as the wooden door, metal latch, and plastic and metal door lock parts, and more.

The movements of each individual 3D modeled piece that is involved in the assembly of the Yale door lock are manipulated by Trinity artists and maneuvered to demonstrate the installation. For instance, in this shot, two screws hover over their screw holes and are slowly placed and spun in- clearly showing the viewer how it is to be done.

Viewers are taken through a step by step process with visuals that demonstrate every action that needs to be taken in order to accurately install this door lock. The first step displayed in this 3D product visualization is the installation of the latch, which is shown being inserted into a slot in the door, followed by the screws that hold it in place. The next step is the installation of the interior mounting plate. The cable that is attached to the latch is shown being threaded through an opening in the interior mounting plate until it is pressed against the door where an extruded piece is placed inside the installation latch to hold the mounting plate in place. After that, The attached cable is assembled onto the back interior of the lock, which is then pressed against the door and also held in place with an extruded piece that fits in the latch. Finally, batteries are animated being placed into their niche’s and the cover is installed.

Trinity animators were provided with the basic 3D models of the components of the lock which they then applied textures to and animated. They were also supplied with a script which guided the animators through the installation process and allowed them to asses the best way to communicate the steps through animation. Trinity artist’s top priority is always to help the client meet its goals, and they are also capable of cultivating a client’s idea so the animation can reach its full potential.

Trinity Animators successfully created a 3D product visualization animation guiding viewers through a step by step process for the installation of the Yale Door Lock. It provides captivating realistically rendered 3D images of the product – accomplishing visuals that live footage can’t, and demonstrating the actions in a clear and straightforward way. Trinity’s animations provide convenience and satisfaction to the customers of their client’s products with animations that visually demonstrate the information which makes the installation process easier to understand and more enjoyable.
